The San Antonio Youth Commission is looking for student representatives who are current freshman and sophomores (and will be sophomores or juniors next year). The City of San Antonio launched the San Antonio Youth Commission on July 25, 1991 as an opportunity for youth and a vehicle to respond to the current situations that affect young people. The San Antonio Youth Commission’s mission is to empower youth to succeed. If you are interested in city politics and leadership, you are invited to apply as soon as possible. Alamotion Dance Troupe Auditions @ Berta Almaguer Dance Studio

Parks and Recreation Department seeks Talented young dancers for troupes

If your forte is performing the fluid graceful moves of a ballerina, young local dancers are challenged to move to the next level in their performing careers by auditioning for one of the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department’s Alamotion dance troupe.

Alamotion highlights ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. Auditions are from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m, with registration beginning at 12 Noon. Dancers, ages 11 to 19, with two years experience in at least three of these dance forms, are eligible. Dancers should wear full leotard, dance pants and appropriate shoes.

Fandango Dance Troupe Auditions @ Berta Almaguer Dance Studio

Parks and Recreation Department seeks Talented young dancers for troupe!

If your forte is the the swift staccato of a flamenco number, young local dancers are challenged to move to the next level in their performing careers by auditioning for one of the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department’s Fandango dance troupe.

Fandango focuses on Mexican folklorico and flamenco dance forms. Auditions are from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, with registration beginning at 3:30 p.m. Boys auditioning for Fandango must wear blank pants and white top; girls should wear dance skirts, full leotard and appropriate shoes. Castanets are required.
