Applicants must be at least 16 and must pass a prerequisite skills test. The Parks and Rec Departments provides CPR and lifesaving training to prepare you for lifeguarding responsibilities. Applicants who have passed the prerequisite test will be scheduled for training classes. The starting salary is $10.00 per hour.
The San Antonio Youth Commission is looking for student representatives who are current freshman and sophomores (and will be sophomores or juniors next year). The City of San Antonio launched the San Antonio Youth Commission on July 25, 1991 as an opportunity for youth and a vehicle to respond to the current situations that affect young people. Glenda Woods Girls University is a full-day summer camp for girls ages 6-12. Each week has a different theme and brings new adventures as girls learn about different college majors, take part in unique experiences, meet community leaders, explore the outdoors, and grow their passion for reading, science, sports, art, and math.

Girls, Inc. SA presents the Girls University Camp Program Aides (CPAs)! CPAs are partnered with staff over the summer to implement exciting activities offered each week during Glenda Woods Girls University Summer Camp (GWGU) 2017. The leadership experience teaches girls ages 13-18 responsibility, team work, and public speaking skills as they facilitate programs to younger girls and coordinate service projects with a sisterhood of strong, smart, and bold girls!
